This is a story of four girls: Mary-Anne, Kristy, Claudia and Stacey. Each of these girls are going through different struggles and are trying to keep their friendships close. Although they seem to be going in different directions. Each chapter is told by one of the four girls and their take on certain situations. I think that most girls fourth grade on up would enjoy this story and be able to relate to at least one of these girls.
