Spunky is a dog who tells the story of his life with the Bates, his human family. Spunky can understand Human but speaks only Dog. His family doesn’t speak Dog and there are some misunderstandings. Everything is fine until the family decides to adopt a cat from the animal shelter and she, Fiona, is rather snobbish. This is a really funny story but there are some tender moments also. A great read! Reading level grade 3, interest level, everyone!
