It has been quite a while since I’ve given 5 stars to a book, but this one deserves it! A 14 year old girl takes her mentally challenged brother to Chicago after their parents’ violent death. Union and Non-Union issues are addressed in a realistic fashion. The horrific Chicago fire is also portrayed exceptionally well. I cheered for these two kids from the first page to the last! This book is well worth your time and belongs in our libraries.
