Jumping Off Library Shelves

Jumping Off Library ShelvesWritten by Lee Bennet Hopkins, Illustrated by Jane Manning

This is a collection of poems selected by Lee Bennet Hopkins about libraries and books. This would be a fun book for librarians to share with their students as they visit. Or for students who love books. It will be nice for teachers to share with students about poetry and the love of reading.

Like any collection, some poems touch readers more or less. I enjoyed all but one.

The illustrator, Jane Manning, includes images and words from the poems. The illustrations really go well with the writings, and are a nice, friendly style.
