Meyer does an amazing job weaving multiple plot-lines into one cohesive story. As the title suggests, this book is about Winter, Queen Levana’s stepdaughter. From an early age, Winter learned that she must appear nonthreatening to save herself from the Queen’s viciousness. But behind the feeble-minded facade is a clever strategist who is working hard to overthrow the Queen’s power. Winter is not the only one ready to take on the Queen. Cinder and her small crew are frantically trying to find a way on the planet – both to fight the Queen and to save Scarlett. To succeed, they all must trust each other and work together to save the world. I’m glad that, though good triumphs, everything doesn’t end in a nice little package. Another well-written book in the Lunar Chronicle series.
