What kind of reader were you as a child? What childhood books and authors stick with you the most?

Not avid, but I read in streaks. I liked The Hardy Boys series and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.

Can’t remember.

Brown Girl Dreaming by Jacqueline Woodson

If you could only bring three books to a desert island, which would you pack?


Eternal Man by Truman G. Madsen, The Book of Mormon, and The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper.

  1. I am reading Brown Girl Dreaming right now. I started it at the first of the year but I had students who wanted to read it so I let them and now I am finally getting to it.
