Wandmaker

wandmakerWritten by Ed Masessa

This book was a lot of fun to read. There is humor, suspense, mystery, and adventure, all tied up in magic. The story manages to honor traditional ideas of wizardry and magic while still presenting original and entertaining ideas. The story also includes parts of Native American culture for some welcome diversity. The main character, Henry, is fun and easy to relate to, especially in his relationship with his sister who he accidentally turned into a blue hedgehog. I greatly enjoyed this book!

  1. Thank you for the great review. I picked this book up at our book fair, but have not had a chance to read it. I’m glad I did as it sounds like one the kids will love!!
