Ninja! Attack of the Clan

Kids are sure to love this action packed, colorful story that is a beginning level graphic novel/picture book. I was immediately pleased with the end pages that are simply crayon-like child drawn pictures of a ninja fighting a dragon and protecting his sister. The illustrations are just plain appealing, bold and bright in panels framed in black. Maxwell is dressed as a ninja and tries to get someone in his family, his sister, his mom or his dad, to play with him, with no success. He must entertain himself until dinnertime when he discovers his family is hiding, dressed as ninjas themselves, ready to do battle. This is a great story that shows how families should play together (after the work is done), and that sometimes you have to find something to keep yourself busy, whether it is having a nap, or using your imagination to create adventures.
