Time for Cranberries

time-for-cranberriesWritten by Lisl H. Detlefsen, Illustrated by Jed Henry

Time for Cranberries is the story of a family farm and the steps that it takes to harvest the crop of cranberries. It was fun to read about something different from apples and pumpkins, and the story is a reminder to think about where our food comes from. The question throughout, “is it time to eat cranberries yet?” is answered happily at the end of the book, and recipes are included that add to the fun. The vocabulary in the book makes it enjoyable to read and a good addition for Thanksgiving story times.

  1. I agree, it’s nice to find a book that’s about a food other than apples or pumpkins. Sounds like a good one. Thank you for the review.
