The Black Lotus: Shadow of the Ninja

Written by Kieran Fanning

Can three young strangers become friends and trust each other with their lives? Kate, Cormac, and Ghost each have a unique ability that has helped them survive individually on their own. One can become invisible, another has super speed, and the third can speak to animals. These gifts bring them to the attention of Makoto, the leader of the Black Lotus organization, dedicated to protecting the Moon Sword from the evil Lord Goda. He recruits and trains them, honing their powers to prepare for an enemy attack, but no one is prepared for the betrayal they encounter. Set in a futuristic America, this book has ninjas, swords, and time travel. Young readers will enjoy the action and will catch themselves pretending to be one of the young heroes along with the accompanying superpower.
