Once Upon a Dream

A Twisted Tale, #2

Written by Liz Braswell

This is a darker fairy tale adaptation of Sleeping Beauty. It will take you on an insane Dreamland journey through Aurora’s dream world. Prince Phillip tries to wake Aurora with a kiss, but ends up going into Aurora’s dream world. Aurora flees the castle and tries to find her way back to the real world. Maleficent tries to get her to come back by all means. In order for Maleficent to live in the dream world she must kill people to fuel her evil powers with their blood.
Flora, Fauna, and Merrywether are in this story and they raised her until her 16th birthday. Then on her 16th birthday they locked her in her room. She wandered out to find a spindle and pricked her own finger so that she could die. Her journey in her dream shows her how important she is and that her life has meaning to it.
This book has a slow start, but it does get better. Give it try.
