The Notorious Benedict Arnold

A True Story of Adventure, Heroism & Treachery

Written by Steven Sheinkin

I loved reading this book on American History. I loved learning more about what kind of man Benedict Arnold was. Benedict was a hero and he lost everything over money. His heroism has been lost due to his treachery. Why would he go from one of the most heroic figures of the Revolutionary War to the most despised? The book states that he would have been marked a hero if not for the treason. The book says that he was more of a hero than George Washington and would have had monuments built to him. He betrayed his country later in life. He lost everything because of money. I really enjoyed the history in this book.
