This book first attracted me because of the cover: it is beautiful. I had a hard time getting into it at first, but I feel it would be perfect for the jr. high reader. It deals with issues of terrorism, immigration, and the need to be accepted and how hard that can be. I think most kids would find the book relevant and learn some new things about a different culture along the way. It was fun to learn some Spanish words.
