Zero the Hero

Written by Joan Holub, Illustrated by Tom Lichtenheld

This is a very cute book about math. It is entertaining in itself, but is great to use to reinforce the properties of zero in math. It includes a piece about Roman Numerals also. This is definitely a “hands-on” story because of the text size and the puns used. I would use it as a read-aloud and then have it available for students to look at up close. Well written and illustrated adorably. The characters are cute, the story is fun. Kids of all ages can enjoy this book.
