My Life as a Stuntboy

Written by Janet Tashjian, Illustrated by Jake Tashjian

This is a story of a 12-year-old boy with an interest and ability for daring stunts, who one day happened to be in the right place at the right time and was discovered by a Hollywood stunt director. While doing stunts for a movie it put a strain on the relationship with his best friend. He learned some valuable lessons about friendship and facing up to his responsibilities. I felt it was a captivating book. I believe the kids will love it and anticipate needing multiple copies in the library. This book is a narrative, not a diary-style book. and is not hard to read. I recommend this book, especially for all those kids who love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, but I feel it is better than Wimpy Kid.
