As ingredients in a magical cake, these, as well as an amazing assortment of characters, all blend together in A Tangle Of Knots. This subtle novel is rich with well defined characters, gentle humor, love, and a bit of evil. The story is told in alternating character chapters, sprinkled with cake recipes. We learn about all their talents, or lack thereof. Although this book reminded me a tiny bit of Savvy by Ingrid Law, on its own, it is original and charming. I felt so good after reading this book.
