This is a beautiful story about a grandfather sharing stories of his past through a collection of Matchboxes. I love how it shows the importance of keeping and remembering stories. It is interesting and captivating how the author has written the entire story in dialogue. The illustrations are in color for the present day scenes and in sepia tones when the grandfather is sharing a story. I think that this will be a fun read aloud even with older students.
