The Big Hairy Secret

Furry-and-FloFurry and Flo, Book 1

Written by Thomas Kingsley Troupe

Flo is moving again due to her mom’s lack of training in the work force. Since her dad died each move has been worse than the last. Now she and her mom are moving to a giant old high rise in the center of the city. Corman Towers is old, unkempt, and down right weird! First Flo meets a boy her age named Ferdinand, who likes to be called Furry. He is her neighbor across the hall on the 17th floor which is about half way up the highrise. He doesn’t seem to mind that she sees him in his undies but she does! Their apartment has a cracked window and a large brown stain on the ceiling in the corner. After their first grocery shopping trip they drop their bags outside the door in order to get it opened. They get most of the groceries inside. Upon Flo return for the last bag there is a large bite out of the bag and she finds a chewed up Popsicle stick from the missing box down the hall! The weird things don’t stop there either. There is Curtis the old retired maintenance guy who lives in the basement. What secrets does he know? Furry shows her a crack in the laundry room floor that has a strange blue light emanating from it! Spider webs and large egg sacks seem to be everywhere. What is the secret lurking in the halls and stairwell? Will she ever feel at home in this old creepy place?
