Towering

toweringWritten by Alex Flinn

This modern-day Rapunzel story gives “Rachel” the chance to take charge of her own destiny. She is the one who escapes from the tower, she is the one who seeks help for her true love, and she is the heroine of the story.

After being locked in a tower for many years Rachel knows she is to help save someone else. She watches as he falls into the frozen lake and then rescues him. After falling in love Wyatt and Rachel uncover a drug ring and free the kidnapped people who were labeled as runaways or missing persons for over 15 years.

The story is almost predictable, but the little twists keep the reader turning the pages to see what will happen next. The climax of the story is a fairy tale ending and lets the reader sigh with a “lived happily ever after” ending.
