Sebastian and the Balloon

sebastianandtheballoonWritten and Illustrated by Philip C. Stead

Sebastian sat on the tip top of the roof of his house (which he was never supposed to do!) All he could see was his same old boring neighborhood. All of a sudden he got a splendid idea! Sebastian wanted to see more! He makes a hot air balloon from his grandmother’s old quilts and afghans. That night he boarded the balloon, cut the strings, and floated free! First he met a big bear, then a tall bird, and three old sisters that helped him repair his balloon. Together they ate pickle sandwiches, repaired and old roller coaster, and enjoyed the adventurous journey of a lifetime! This is a CUTE book with great imagination!
