Frankenstein’s Fright Before Christmas

ludworstbemonsterBy Ludworst Bemonster

Just in time for Christmas! It’s another fun parody from Ludworst Bemonster, pen name for author Rick Walton and artist Nathan Hale. It’s a mix of C. Clement Moore’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and the classic Madeline. I liked their first collaborative effort Frankenstein (A Monstrous Parody) and this one is just as silly and ridiculous. The kids will LOVE it! They love monsters and unbelievable crazy events like Santa and the reindeer falling through the roof. Then out of Santa’s sack roll new heads for all the monsters but young Frankenstein. From Kirkus Review : ‘Most illustrations use a limited palette of gray and lime-green with splashes of red for Santa and his sleigh.’ It’s not a must have book for the library, but still a gem of creativity and humor.
