Brenna is a junior high student who enjoys helping animals. She is part of a club called Vet Volunteers. Brenna gets a chance to talk to a high school club about wildlife. She puts together photos that she has taken and gives a presentation. Things go so well that she becomes unsatisfied with being in junior high. This causes a misunderstanding with her best friend Maggie. During the story, Brenna must patch things up with her friend, save abandoned ducks and rabbits, and learn to find happiness in the present. Overall, it is a well written and engaging story and a series students will enjoy.
