Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot (Books 1-4)

rickyrikottaWritten by Dav Pilkey, Illustrated by Dan Santat

Perfect books for boys in first through second grade. Girls will enjoy them too but it’s always a bonus to find a series that I think boys will especially love. The books have fun color illustrations and short text along with a somewhat graphic novel format. In each book Ricky Ricotta and his Mighty Robot have to work together to save the world. Though the books do not need to be read in order it would be best to read the first one first because it explains how the friendship between Ricky and his Mighty Robot began.

Dan Santat’s illustrations really make Ricky and The Mighty Robot come to life!

  1. I love the new illustrations for Ricky Ricotta, and think it would be fun to make a display with this book and all of the others books illustrated by Dan Santat, because he JUST won the Caldecott Medal!

  2. Yay! The Ricky Ricotta books will have a new life! I love it when the illustrations are updated and the students think it’s a new book!
