The main character is Adam, a twelve year old boy spending the summer with his mother and grandmother at his grandmother’s rustic lake cabin. He meets Alice, the girl next door, who turns out to be fun, frank, and eager for adventure. The writer starts strong and builds a good story with adventurous, heart-warming characters and a mystery which unfolds. This is a fast moving book and keeps the interest growing with a strong positive ending.
