What We Hide

whatwehideWritten by Marthe Jocelyn

Jenny and her brother Tom decide to attend school in England. Tom goes to dodge the Vietnam draft, and Jenny decides that she can’t live in a country without her brother. But will a Quaker boarding school be better than living at home?

The story is told from multiple view points that are often comical and crude. The relationships are complicated and realistic. The story is enjoyable and will make you laugh out loud. However, the sexual content and language of this book is inappropriate for many schools. Therefore this book is best for High Schools in non-conservative areas, and public libraries.
