The Way to Stay in Destiny

This story wants to be a realistic story but is more in the lines of a modern day fairy tale. It tries to present realistic problems kids have today, but the solutions to the various problems are too good to be true. I think kids will only be able to relate to an angry Vietnam veteran during 1974 as an abusive adult in a kid’s life. The characters fit all the roles of fairy tales: a snooty, wicked mother, a feisty daughter, a misunderstood boy with an angry uncle, and a sweet stranger whose wisdom happily solves all of the problems. And it certainly ends “happily ever after.”
