Another Kind of Hurricane

Another Kind of HurricaneWritten by Tamara Ellis Smith

Wow!!!!! What a great book! It was a little slow at the beginning, then moved along quickly.

It’s about two boys from different parts of the country that are dealing with losses. One lost his mother because of illness and then everything else because of the hurricane. The other lost his best friend in a tragic accident while they were camping on a mountain.

The boys have a lot of sorrow. They wind up getting to know each other through unusual circumstances and coincidences. They share a secret. Then they help each other through the sorrow and become great friends.

I didn’t even realize the boys were of different color until the end of the book. That was not a problem for them or their families at all.
