Jo Montfort is a beautiful and rich girl. She will graduate from a finishing school and will be married to a rich bachelor. This is the plan for her. It all changes when her father dies. This takes place in 1890 in New York City. Her father and his partners own a shipping business. After her father’s death she knew it was not an accident, but a murder. She has always wanted to be a reporter, so she starts at the standard examiner. She meets Eddie, a handsome reporter. They go into the dark part of New York City to find a killer. This was a very good read.
