Little Bird’s Bad Word

Little Bird's Bad WordBy Jacob Grant

As Little Bird and his papa are flying lunch home…his papa drops the worm and says a very bad word. Little Bird is very excited! A Wonderful New Word! He immediately runs to tell all of his friends his wonderful new word. His papa, realizing his mistake, tries to catch up with Little Bird and ends up apologizing to everyone that Little Bird has offended. Finally, Little Bird realizes the effect of this word on everyone around him. His father explains that this is a bad word, it hurts feelings and makes everyone uncomfortable. Little Bird apologizes to everyone and promises not to use the word again. This is a good book for children who don’t quite yet understand how bad words are hurtful.
