The Copper Gauntlet (Magisterium, #2)

The Copper GauntletWritten by Holly Black & Cassandra Clare, Illustrated by Scott Fischer

The Copper Gauntlet is well written. The story and action flow quickly. There’s the right mix of conversation and explanations with the action. The story tugs at your heart strings at times but is humorous at other times, all the while keeping the action going. In this story Callum Hunt and his friends continue to explore their magic skills, deal with the Enemy and his forces, uncover new secrets, and try to still be good friends to each other. If you enjoyed the Harry Potter series you may like this one. It has some similarities but is still its own story. I was hooked from the first few pages of book one (The Iron Trial) and continued to enjoy book two. I look forward to book three. This is not a stand alone story. You would need to read book one to fully understand the plot of book two.
