The poems in this book are exactly what the title suggests. It is a fun read if you are not concerned with excellent writing or mind-blowing creativity. Some of the poems are gross, which I think kids will like a lot. They cover the gamut of monsters and supernatural. They are not super graphic or offensive, but grisly enough to satisfy those with a penchant for the deviant.
