The Cow Who Climbed a Tree

The Cow Who Climbed a TreeBy Gemma Merino

The Queen in Alice in Wonderland stated, “Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” Well, in that regard, she and Tina the cow have something in common. Tina is curious and her mind is “full of wonderful things.” Her sisters tell her that her ideas are impossible nonsense. But that doesn’t stop her. Tina sets out to try something very impossible and quite ridiculous and makes a new, magical friend. The delightful illustrations only add to the joy of the story. This book is the perfect start to any day. Read it and then go have an impossible, ridiculous, nonsensical adventure!

The cover alone makes me want to read this book not to mention your lovely review. Should I put it on my “to buy” list or just my “to read” list?

  2. I have read this to several classes from K-3 and all the kids liked it. We talked about how it feels when no one believes in you and what you can do to change their minds.

  3. This is one of the Beehive nominees for this coming year. I can’t wait to share it with my students.
