How the Sun Got to Coco’s House

How the Sun Got to Coco's HouseBy Bob Graham

Done in ink and watercolor the illustrations and simple text capture how the sun rises, touching various objects with light and casting shadows. The sun begins it journey in the whitewashed Arctic, illuminating three polar bears, and then takes its journey around the earth to end up barging in at Coco’s window. The illustrations are lovely and the text almost lyrical. This book could definitely be used as science literature for younger grades.
