Wolf Hollow

Wolf HollowWritten by Lauren Wolk

Wolf Hollow is set in the early years of World War II. It is the story of Annabelle and what happens when a bully moves into town. It is also the story of her friendship with a World War I veteran. In many ways it is a coming of age book as Annabelle moves out of her childhood and becomes more aware of the world around her and her place in it. It is also a powerful book that looks at appearances and how we judge people and the value of being kind. This book will engage readers from the beginning and would be an excellent read aloud for class.
