Cici: A Fairy’s Tale, #1

The story opens with Cici in tears because her dad is moving out. All of a sudden, she’s at school trying to figure out how to tell her best friend, Mia, that her dad won’t be at her birthday celebration. Next thing you know, Cici’s grandma has come to town to help out for however long she’s needed. When Cici wakes up the next morning, she has fairy wings!
I felt like this easy graphic novel had way too many storylines going on without anything ever really happening. Will Cici’s grandma be able to help Cici with her new fairy wings or will Cici give them up?
