Beetle Boy

13 year old Darkus is the main character of the book. His mother dies and now his dad goes missing. The police and the newspapers are all over the story but they cannot find his dad. Darkus eventually is taken to live with his uncle Max, who drives a cool car.

Darkus makes friends with a beetle the size of a hamster who he names “Baxter.” They adventure to “beetle mountain.” There is a lot of adventure in the book, plus a lot of information about beetles, where they live and what they like to eat. I have recommended this book to my friends in my class.
