Vicki has been a media clerk at Pleasant Green Elementary for 16 years. She puts in a lot of hard work to plan activities that engage classes in reading and media literacy when they are in the library, and has a great rapport with the students at her school.

The Year of Miss Agnes by Kirkpatrick Hill, a couple of books by Mary Higgins Clark, and a couple of books from the Twilight series.

What kind of reader were you as a child? What childhood books and authors stick with you the most?
I would have rather been playing sports than reading. I did love Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. For an assignment in elementary school, I wrote to Wilson Rawls and he wrote back. He then became my favorite. J

A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway
What book did you hate reading as a student?
I don’t remember hating one.

Books by Mary Downing Hahn and If I Built a Car by Chris Van Dusen.
If you could only bring three books to a desert island, which would you pack?
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, a book by Mary Higgins Clark, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling.
