Longbow Girl

longbow-girlWritten by Linda Davies

This is an adventurous tale of Merry, a modern day girl that must save her family home in a longbow competition. Little does Merry know that she has saved her home before, hundreds of years in the past. When Merry finds a mysterious book in a burial site, her curiosity leads her to a time portal. There is betrayal and loyalty, deception and sacrifice. My one complaint is that it takes 100 pages to get to the real adventure. I know it can be important to “set the stage”, as it were, but that’s a long time to wait. I almost didn’t come back to the book. In the end, I’m glad I did because it was a good story, just perhaps one that didn’t quite live up to its potential.
