Tractor Mac: Harvest Time

tractor-mac-harvest-timeWritten and Illustrated by Billy Steers

Tractor Mac lives at Stony Meadow Farm. He loves his job but gets bored driving around the apple fields. Unfortunately, he is so big that he breaks branches and hits trees. Mac would love it if his farm was a pumpkin farm like the farm across the street. Across the street, Small Fred has a really hard time pulling all of the heavy pumpkins and pumpkin pickers at the farm’s Pumpkin Picking Festival. He would love to be across the street at Stony Meadow farm where it is quiet and he would not have to haul things that are too heavy for him. At the end of the story, the farmers trade tractors for the day and both tractor friends get to do what they love the most.

This is a very cute book. I am sure that this will be a wonderful read aloud next year in September.
