Wonderfall

wonderfallWritten and Illustrated by Michael Hall

“Fall is wonderfall! And eventfall, frightfall, thankfall, delightfall. What’s next?” (back cover)

Michael Hall has once again given us a “beautifall” picture book. This one is about the autumn season. Told from a tree’s point of view, the reader goes through different events during this time of year. Each page features the tree with its two scurrying squirrel friends going about explaining what is happening in easy rhyming verse. The illustrations are bold fall colors, whimsical and in Michael Hall’s acclaimed style. In the back of the book, the reader learns how the animals featured get ready for winter, as well as the squirrels, acorns and the tree itself. I loved this book and think it would be perfect to share this time of year. Read this book and you too will exclaim, “Fall is Wonderfall!”
