The Twelve Days of Dash & Lily

Dash and Lily have an adorable romance in the first book. This one, not so much. I liked it because I love relationship stories, but because they start the book a year into their relationship, the conflict is weird. There are at least three points in the book where you think, “Okay, they have it figured out. They are going to be happy now.” And then the book keeps going. I cannot decide if it is fun or annoying to read repeated climax and resolutions. The book is clever in that it is written from two points of view which are voiced by two different authors. I like that device because it gives a vastly different voice to each character and two distinct ways of interpreting the same situation. There is some tragedy and some happily ever after and it all takes place during the Christmas holiday, so it is a fun book to read in the Christmas season, but it is a light read that did not have much impact on my life or how I see the world.
