Batneezer

The Creature From My Closet, #6

Written by Obert Skye

Ron Burnside’s closet has produced its latest creature from the closet, Batneezer. He’s a cross between Lego Batman and Ebeneezer Scrooge. He and 3 other ghosts, Ghost of Past Books, Ghost of Present-Day Books, and Ghost of Books Yet to Come, have a message for Ron. There’s a new librarian at the school who is up to nefarious deeds and the books need a hero to save them. Can he and his friends do it?

The characters in this book are utterly hilarious. The way Obert Skye combines the two seemingly opposite books in each character is masterfully done. The illustrations are detailed and add a lot to the text of the book. The plot is well-developed, impossible to put down, and easily draws the reader into Ron’s world. This hilarious conclusion to the Creature in My Closet is a must-have for any collection. Readers can read this out of order, but they’ll definitely want to go back and read the rest.
