Will’s Words: How William Shakespeare Changed the Way You Talk

Written by Jane Sutcliffe, Illustrated by John Shelley

I found the book Will’s Words to be very informative. The book goes into how William Shakespeare’s narrative has become a part of every day use in language today.

The author tells the story of Shakespeare’s plays and the Globe Theater in London. In her story the author incorporated Will’s words into her narrative in bold letters. On the left side of the page the words are given a description and linked to which play Will used the phrase in.

I found this book fun to read and the illustrations were beautiful to look at. I think this would be a book best geared towards older grades (possibly even early middle school students studying Shakespeare), or a book that a teacher would read to her class as a whole and thoroughly explain.
