The Monster on the Road Is Me

Written by J.P. Romney

This book would be good for someone who is very interested in Japan and its culture. The text includes many Japanese phrases and words that are not translated. It is set in modern times, but it is based on Japanese mythology. It has a dark tone and several people kill themselves because they have been deceived by the “monster.” It probably would not be enjoyed by a wide range of readers.
