All the Feels

All Is Fair in Love and Fandom

Written by Danika Stone

Liv is a college freshman who has been a super fan-girl of the Starveil movies since she watched the first one with her father when she was little. She is devastated when her favorite character, Spartan, is killed off in the latest movie in the series. With the help of her good friend, Xander – a steampunk cosplayer, and her movie-making skills, she launches an anonymous online movement to bring her hero back to life. As her campaign catches fire with others in the Starveil fandom, Liv struggles to find balance with school and her relationships. Things come to head when she and Xander head to Dragon Con to celebrate their fandom and to hopefully meet the cast and creators of Starveil. I’d recommend this engaging book to anyone who is a super-fan of anything or who is just struggling with finding their place in the world. It’s relatable, engaging, at times laugh-out-loud funny, and at times heart-wrenching. In short, it will give you “all the feels.”
