Muhammad Ali

A Champion Is Born

Written by Gene Barretta, Illustrated by Frank Morrison

I enjoyed learning about Muhammad Ali (Cassius Clay) as a young boy. His boxing career started because of a stolen bike. He is a great example of hard work and never giving up once you set your sights on a goal. I change my opinion of Muhammad Ali because of this book. The illustrations were great and helped tell the story.

1 thought on “Muhammad Ali”

  1. I grew up hearing about Muhammad Ali in the news all the time but I really didn’t follow boxing. This book sounds like a great way to know about him and for kids to have a great example to follow. Thanks for your review Jodie. I will put this book on the list for next year.
