Go Big or Go Gnome

Written by Kirsten Mayer, Illustrated by Laura K. Horton

This is a quirky little picture book with illustrations that are eye-catching and appealing. It is the story of a gnome, Albert, who has no facial hair and how he copes with being different than others. At one point he becomes very creative just to fit in. He then discovers that it is okay to be himself and to focus on his talents to become accepted. This book is a great first fantasy story for early readers. It would also appeal to readers who enjoyed Mustache Baby.
