Jack and the Bloody Beanstalk

Scary Tales Retold

Written by Wiley Blevins, Illustrated by Steve Cox

This is a remake of the classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk with that scary twist ending that kids of all ages will definitely love. The illustrations are bright and captivating, drawing you in to look at them even before you start reading the words. As Jack climbs to the top of the beanstalk it is a very vivid Halloween scene with the dark, eerie castle and graveyard scene where the twist begins, and the review ends. Does this tale have a happy ending? Maybe just am ending. This is sure to be a favorite book in the library.
