Miles Morales, Spider-Man

Written by Jason Reynolds

A thrilling and riveting tale about a kid and his struggle with not only his power, but his school and social life as well. It also provides an interesting take and a new look into the treatment of different races. This book not only captivates a reader’s entertainment, it also calls into question any misconceptions that people may have about slavery.

Thinking that his Spidey-Sense is going on the fritz, Miles Morales, a.k.a. Spider-Man, starts to question if he deserves to be a superhero, or if his destiny is to walk the same path his father and uncle laid before him. A thrilling action and mystery, I consider this to be a must read for all kids grades 6-12.

  1. I thought this book didn’t have very much “spidey” action. There is a lot of backstory and not much Spider Man.

  2. I obviously haven’t kept up on Marvel stuff. I guess Miles Morales is Spider-Man from and alternate universe. I would be interested in learning more about the book and having it for my Marvel readers.
