Chicken in School

Written by Adam Lehrhaupt, Illustrated by Shahar Kober

Chicken in School is a humorous tale about farm animals trying to create a school when they see the children heading off to school. The chicken is in charge, but she keeps changing up how each class is done. The illustrations are fun and add to the humor. I enjoyed this story and I like Chicken in Space, which has the same characters, even more. Young children will especially enjoy reading this story. With a little bit older children, 2nd or 3rd, you could have some good discussions on what books, crayons and math are really for. I would recommend purchasing this for a library.
